Jasmine Mongolian Grill

So, you don't feel like cooking?  I fully confess that this contrary and rather reluctant cook often feels that way!  I don't want to eat out all the time (although I've had friends who did that, amazingly!), but there are times when it just is nice to have a great place to go and be served.  Jasmine is one of those places.

If you've never enjoyed a Mongolian grill-type restaurant, it is similar to a buffet-style affair.  The customer fills up a bowl with whatever they would like to have stir-fried on a huge grill.  Meats, noodles and every kind of veggie you can think of are spread out before you for your choosing pleasure.  Then, it's the seasoning sauces to mix and match into your bowl.  Your custom mix is then flopped on the grill and expertly stir-fried to perfection.  The whole process takes about 5-10 minutes - all while you watch.

Yep, this is one of my favorite restaurants to frequent; it is my opinion that it is the best Mongolian grill restaurant in the area.  The price is moderate; just about $15/person, which includes rice, soup (hot & sour or egg drop), hot tea and a scoop of vanilla ice cream or raspberry sherbet for dessert.  In my years of eating at Jasmine, the service has always been top-notch.  Admittedly, this is our number one choice for 'girl's night out' restaurant.  If you are in the Federal Way area, you may want to give this one a try next time you're feeling quite contrary about cooking.  And, if Washington State is just too far to make it for dinner, why not look up a Mongolian grill in your area - it's definitely a fun way to enjoy stir-fry.
